FUTURE-TIVE NATURE

Melbourne native, fashion innovator, artist and futuristic visionary Nixi Killick is hitting the fashion scene this season and harder that ever. As a fourth year student at RMIT, Killick is on the rise with her imaginative designs and outwardly erotic accessories. With a background in circus costume and performance arts, Killick excells in creative escapism. This spring Killick turned heads when was she given the opportunity to present her most recent collection in MSFW alongside five of her colleagues in the annual RMIT grad fashion show. The show ranged from Killick’s sculptural abstracts to more subtle looks suitable for daily wear. Needless to say Killicks was my fav.

A master of prints, Mary Kantrantzou offers yet another winning collection. This season's inspirations appear to be quite obvious, as the presence of an actual pencil skirt makes its way down the catwalk. A mixture of colors and innovative silhouettes give this collection just the right amount of sophistication and playfulness, something every girl could learn to love.

Central Saints

This season Central Saint Martin gave us so much to look at, I don't even know where to begin. The Olympics, jersey wear, ninja patchwork, plastic, and moccasin moon boots... What's going on here?! 

With fashion more like artwork and such an eclectic group of designers, there's a guaranteed favorite piece for every fashionista hidden somewhere within the line. All outfits containing fringed platforms were obviously personal favorites of mine, as well as the sweaters. However, there is a lot more to see than just that, so click peep more and check some more looks from the collection for yourself.

BLUMARINE BALLS

Blumarine AW 2012.. No words, well almost. This season is like Zenon meets J LO x's Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion and it is so good. Technicolor hoops, metallics and fur in all the right places, and the shoes, oh the shoes! My heart is melting from that two-piece fish scale RiRi suit and boots. Oh mah gaga. Two much appreciated thumbs up for Milan Fashion Week!

FATTY BOOM BOOM

Alexander Wang has been bustin' out hits since 2007. However, this year brand decided to step up its campaigning game and picked zef rap-raver sensation Die Antwoord to represent the brands spring 2012 line. If you haven't spotted them by now, I have no other option but to believe you've been living under a rock because the ads are everywhere. 

Check out the campaign and behind the scenes footage of Ninja and Yolandi Vi$$er in the videos posted below and experience the weirdness yourself. While your at it, brush up on some ear candy and look up I Fink Your Freaky by the two, and make sure to watch the video.
